VETERAN'S  DAY MESSAGE

As November 11, Veteran's Day approaches, the
elections will be over and a new President will have
been elected. The new Commander In Chief will take
America into a new direction; a path, filled with hope
    and prosperity.

On November 11, throughout our country, we will
celebrate those who are serving and honoring and
remembering those who gave their all.

As a Veterans' advocate, a Veteran of Vietnam and the
Persian Gulf wars, I see a new "Dawn is on the
    horizon" for America.

Honoring All Who Served. Many Americans mistakenly
believe that Veteran's Day is the day America sets
aside to honor American military personnel who died in
battle or as a result of wounds sustained from combat.
This is not quite true. Memorial Day is the day set aside
to honor America's war dead. Veteran's Day, on the
other hand, honors all American Veterans, both living
and dead. In fact, Veteran's Day is largely intended to
thank living veterans for their dedicated and loyal
service to their country. November 11 of each year is
the day that we ensure Veterans know that we deeply
appreciate the sacrifices they have made in their lives
to keep our country free.I often wonder what has
happened to some of my comrades in arms ..... What
are they doing? Are they still living?

I often encouraged Veteran family members to record
their Veteran's stories and make it apart of their family
history... do it now before it's too late, to know "What
did you do in the military?"
